THE RISKS OF CARE INJURIES (Correction)

An injury is losing of continuity of the skin. It represents a high risk of infection to the patient and the nurse. To diminish this risk the nurse should has present the life security rules.


First, a lot of people can acquire an infection as a result a bad aseptic technique, if the nurse doesn't wash her hands before of the procedure. Another cause can be an inadequate care of the injury doesn't exist.


On the other hand, the nurse has risk to acquire an infection too. For example, the injury is infected and has contact with an injury on the nurse's skin or with her eyes. Also, when the patient suffers an infectious disease like an AIDS, due to fact the nurse must increase the life security rules and use two gloves during the procedure.


In summary, injuries represents a high risk of infection to the patient and the nurse, but, acquire it, depend of an adequate aseptic technique like wash the hands before the procedure or increase the life security rules, like use two gloves when the patient suffers an infectious disease.
